The patient was sitting leaning forward during auscultation.
Description
This lesson covers decrescendo murmur. The first and second heart sounds are normal and the decrescendo murmur starts early in diastole, diminishing during diastole. The decrescendo murmur is high-pitched. The 'Visual' tab can be used to view an animation which presents a heart with an enlarged left ventricle with normal contractility. Please observe the regurgitant flow from the aorta into the left ventricle. This is the source of murmur.Phonocardiogram
